In the fickle business that is the
"music-biz", (where the "biz" many times
overshadows the "music"), many
musical acts from our beloved era didn't receive the elusive respect and
credibility, fame and fortune they deserved.
Many of the groups and artists we feature in this issue you may not have
heard of, yet it is important to remember that these one-hit wonders, or
no-hit-wonder-why's, created some great music.
A groovy thank-you to Nick Warburton who digs deep into his crate of golden
wonders, dusts off the vinyl and shines some much
deserved light on some of
the
shoulda-beens while sharing with us their original,
tres-cool publicity
shots. For good measure, we have also added some of
Classicrockpage.com's "Ever Heard Of" archives to the mix.
We're also very pleased to announce a new section at
Classicrockpage, oddly enough titled Ever Heard Of. There will be
regular updates from Nick Warburton and staff writers at CRP as well as
frequent postings from The Psychedelic News archives.
So, while you may or may not have heard of these obscure musical
tripsters,
we hope this historical voyage back through time uncovers a gem or two for
you to search out and
listen
to.
